WALMA (9) raced from the front in delivering a 3L victory in a 2700m handicap at Longchamp at the end of May. Taken to complete a double making her first start for a new trainer. MONARCH OF THE SEA (1) lost out by 0.5L in finishing fourth in a 2000m conditions event at Fontainebleau. Expected to play a leading role. STARAC (7) looks well placed to make a big impact following a 1.25L third over 2100m on turf at Saint-Cloud in June. PRETTY QUEEN (2) debuted with a 1L triumph over 2400m at Clairefontaine in August. Dangerous despite failing to shine in finishing 16L fifth over the same distance at Compiegne subsequently.
