IN THE MIX (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1207m at Del Mar, beaten 14 lengths into fourth. Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. ONE STEP BEYOND (8) is poised to win after placing at his last three outings, most recently when second over 1106m at Del Mar (Dirt) when he was in the firing line all the way. Finds a perfect assignment and can get the job done. FLAMINGO STAR (1) improved last start to finish third over 1207m at Santa Anita. Has her share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. TRAIL BLAZE (4) ran a better race last start, finishing 9 lengths away in fourth over 1609m at Del Mar. Well placed and can figure in the finish this time.
