PROUD RACER (7) proved too strong two runs ago at this track. Couldn't follow that up last time out when seventh over 1006m at Del Mar Turf, beaten 4 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so he is a leading player. MEEKING (1) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 9 lengths away in fourth last time out over 1207m at Del Mar. This is a nice drop in grade so he will be hard to beat. SHADY GEM (2) was comfortably accounted for when eighth last time out over 1106m at Del Mar, beaten 27 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Finds a suitable race and can rediscover winning form. AMADOR (4) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 21 lengths away in 12th over 1207m at Del Mar. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
