Looks better placed over this shorter trip so should be in the finish. BRITE CROSS (5) was safely held on debut last start, finishing 8 lengths behind the winner in fourth over 1006m at Los Alamitos (Dirt). Worth noting Cesar Ortega has been engaged. Plenty of scope for improvement. Expected to do much better. BUCKY'S BOY (6) produced another moderate effort last start when 17 lengths from the winner in 11th over 1207m at Los Alamitos. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
