ALPHONSUS LIGUORI (1) made a satisfactory debut at Gowran Park when unlucky not to win after going down by a head into second place contesting a 1600m event. Open to any amount of improvement on this second start. DARK LEADER (5) ran with promise providing first outing at Limerick a fortnight ago. Could prove capable of more and rates highly. RES IPSA (10) proved popular on debut only to disappoint running sixth. Now has a tongue strap fitted for the first time and it would be disappointing if he can't improve. ORO BLANCO (9) finished behind the second mentioned debuting and will need to have improved if turning that form around.
