Expect him to play a major role. EAST VILLAGE (6) has progressed nicely in his last couple of runs. Finished second at Colonial Downs Inner Turf (Turf) two starts back then got the job done by 1.3 lengths as favourite last time out over 1710m at Churchill Downs (Dirt). Taking on a better line-up this time but he deserves plenty of thought. MR RANDY (4) was prominent at the bend and ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 1673m at Presque Isle Downs after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to figure in the finish. DON'T FIRE JOE (8) dug deep to score when fresh from a spell two runs back then was beaten 15 lengths into seventh over 1710m at Assiniboia Downs last time four weeks ago. Top-three chance.
