START THE DISCO (10) settled back on debut last start then made a dash forward before the turn and stuck on well to finish second over 1106m at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Dirt). Must contend with a wide draw but he shouldn't be a maiden for long. MODERN LEGACY (4) could only manage fifth two runs back on debut then improved last start but found one better over 1609m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Meets a stronger field but he is good enough to take this out. NOE STANDARD RISK (7) turned in a moderate debut over 1609m at this track (Turf) on August 25 when he was safely held in fifth, 8 lengths from the winner. Will take a lot from that experience. Capable of much more this time. CONIFER (3) is facing the starter for the first time. By American Pharoah and is out of the B H Cox stable. Good draw a big help. Top-three chance.
