WHAKAARI (1) went forward last start over 1609m at this track (Turf) and held on well for second, beaten one length. Likely improver with strong prospects. ATHENAEUM (2) is a three-start maiden who could only manage to finish fifth at her latest appearance over 1710m at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Dirt). Well placed on this occasion and gets her chance to break the ice. JOGGER (3) is yet to break through in 19 runs. Finished eighth at her last appearance over 1673m at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Dirt) on September 15 after she was well back on straightening. Among the chances in what looks a nice race for her. SUCCY'S SONG (7) transitions to a turf track for the first time today. Returned from a spell last start with a minor placing over 1207m at Horseshoe Indianapolis, beaten 3 lengths. Improvement to come after the first-up run and can go on and make her presence felt.
