RUSE (3) missed the placings two runs back then got a long way back last start when 8 lengths away in fifth over 1673m at this track. This is a nice drop in grade so he will be hard to beat. K C CHIEF (12) was out of the money when resuming from a spell last start over 1710m at GULFSTREAM PARK Turf, beaten 24 lengths. Edgar Perez gets the best out of this seven-year-old gelding. Ideally placed and is sure to make amends. STEELIN BASES (8) last appeared six weeks ago over 1710m at this track when he finished fifth. This is his first run for the Frank Regalbuto stable. Worth plenty of thought. CORTA FUEGO (10) got the prize two runs ago but was less impressive last time out when seventh over 1673m at this track, beaten 8 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
