NOBRE GUAPO (5) missed the frame when resuming last start over 1000m at this track but wasn't all that far from the winner. Second-up record is strong. Should be prominent from the outset. Likely to feature. PALAIS ROYALE (2) gets a change of rider and has been freshened up since finishing eighth over 1400m at this track last start. Can bounce back. THUNDER CELEBRE (7) hasn’t been far away in recent runs despite modest finishing positions and looks capable of improving sharply in a race of this nature. He has the talent to take care of this field if things fall into place. TAIPAN (1) didn’t have much luck from a wide draw last start and was below his best, but his earlier form was sound. From a better gate he can use his early speed to advantage and should give a strong sight.
