Hard to beat in this suitable race. ROYAL MERMAID (4) turned in a modest performance when eighth last time out over 1600m at this track, beaten 3.5 lengths. That followed a win at Fairview at the previous outing. Rates highly and is among the main hopes. SUN SPECTACULAR (5) hasn't been able to break through for an extended period, the latest effort a fourth over 1600m at Fairview. Making headway. Likely to measure up again. POTENZA (1) turned in another moderate effort last start when 11 lengths from the winner in seventh over 1600m at this track. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
