SHORTSTOP (6) stuck on well last start to finish third over 1609m at Mahoning Valley (Dirt) after showing good early speed. This is a nice drop in grade so he is sure to be prominent. GONNA PICK DOMENIC (2) didn't make an impact at his last run before going for a spell on August 12, finishing fifth and beaten 12 lengths over 1207m at this track (Dirt). Has found the right race. TIME TO TOAST (3) turned in a fine effort to win by 4.5 lengths at today's track and distance when resuming from a break last start. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. RECAUSE (5) is a promising type who hasn't raced since finishing 18 lengths away in seventh over 1207m at this track (Dirt) on June 17. Winning rider Javier Diego stays aboard. Worth including in calculations.
