DEFI NONANTAIS (3) returned from a layoff last start and was supported before pulling up at Lingfield. Will be hard to beat if improving with blinkers fitted for the first time. RIVER RUN FREE (4) didn't perform badly when beaten 6L fourth at Uttoxeter. Warrants thought as likely to be thereabouts while cheekpieces are adopted. VALIRANN GOLD (5) did fairly well finishing third at Fontwell Park two runs back. Less effective subsequently when 4L away in sixth at this track. Hard to dismiss. SAINT CYR DE PAIL (2) is yet to feature this season. Needs to bounce back though still holds scope for improvement.
