D'BUSKER (3) finished third over 1509m at this track (Dirt) last time out following a determined win two runs back. Has good early speed so should take up a forward position. Likely to feature. STORMY LOU (2) dug deep to score two runs back then was beaten 2.25 lengths into third over 1106m at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) last time two months ago. Should enjoy a good run just off the speed. Will prove tough to beat. DIAMOND COUNTRY (5) improved sharply on her fifth two starts back at Evangeline Downs (Dirt) with a win over 1207m at Louisiana Downs (Dirt) a month ago, getting home by 1.5 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but she can win again. STEPHANIE'S MARIA (1) turned in a decent effort last start to finish third over 1308m at Evangeline Downs. Looks to be in the right race so she should be in contention again.
