TWO GOOD OLD GUYS (1) is a progressive galloper who is first-up since finishing fifth over 1207m in Listed grade at Fairgrounds (Dirt) 11 months ago. Has good early toe so he should be handy in the run. Will prove tough to beat. SPRINGTOWN (8) has been thereabouts without winning, the most recent offering a third at this track (Dirt) over 1006m when he was beaten 3 lengths. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. Expecting a bold showing. MINGLING MO (4) missed the placings two runs back then did well last start but found one better over 1006m at this track, beaten only one length after being in the firing line on the turn. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. PERICLES (3) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 1006m at this track (Dirt), scoring by one length. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. T Pompell was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Harder here but should be involved in the finish.
