DAWSON JAMES (7) was never in contention when 12 lengths from the winner in eighth over 1609m at Louisiana Downs Turf last start, a less impressive effort than his first-up fifth at Evangeline Downs Turf the run before. Meets a stronger field but he is worth another chance. DONEGAL NOW (8) closed last prep nine weeks ago when he finished fifth over 1408m at Evangeline Downs. One of the better chances.
