THE G M (5) finished fourth when resuming two runs back then progressed nicely last time out after being in the firing line on the bend to score by one length over 1106m at Santa Anita (Dirt). Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he can go back-to-back. CHECK'S ON THE WAY (1) was safely held when resuming last start over 1308m at Los Alamitos (Dirt), finishing sixth and beaten 10 lengths. Umberto Rispoli has won when aboard in the past and gets the ride again. Worth including in calculations.
