PAGODE (9) has changed stables since finishing second over 1911m at this track (Dirt) three-and-a-half months ago. Goes well when fresh with a win and two minor placings from three starts. Very hard to beat. PENALTY BOX (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 0.8 lengths from the winner in third over 1609m at Ellis Park after being in contention on the corner. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. UNIVERSE (7) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when fifth over 1811m at Saratoga (Dirt). Should be peaking now and is expected to do much better. STELLENBOSCH (10) registered his first win last start over 1811m at Ellis Park (Dirt), getting home by a nose. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Francisco Arrieta was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. Tougher assignment this time but is one of the main contenders.
