MAGICAL SURPRISE (2) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but ran a strong race last time out, finishing third and beaten only 2.25 lengths over 1308m at this track (Dirt) after being in contention on the bend. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish. CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE (8) proved too strong two runs ago at Mountaineer Park. Couldn't follow that up last time out when sixth over 1408m at this track, beaten 10 lengths. Taking on a better field but he is up to the task. FERNANDO'S GOLD (7) was prominent at the corner and progressed nicely last start to finish a close third over 1207m at Mountaineer Park after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Alexis Espinoza gets the best out of this five-year-old gelding. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. RENEGADE RABBIT (4) closed off strongly last start to get up for second, beaten half a length, over 905m at this track. Backmarker who keeps coming. Sure to be competitive.
