PHEONIX (5) returns after winning three on end before a nine-month spell. Ready for a big return to racing, and he is the one to beat for us. DICK DASTARDLY (3) scored a narrow win last time over 1600m on November 21. Gets some weight relief this time, so another bold showing is expected. ISTANBUL (4) broke his maiden last start over 2000m at this track when resuming, scoring by nearly a length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Ebrahim Nader was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the ride. This is tougher, but he can repeat the dose. BARAAK (1) scored last start to make it two wins from two starts this campaign. Has the pace to settle in the leading division, and the hat-trick beckons.
