DON'T FIRE JOE (2) is a three-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Perry Cavanaugh stable. Hasn't raced since finishing in the placings at Churchill Downs (Dirt) three-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but is in a nice race. Can make an immediate impact. CHARLIE'S PRIZE (5) turned in a fine effort to score by 6 lengths at this course and distance last start to maintain his good form of late. Nicely placed to score once again. RIDE AT DAWN (3) did little and finished 9 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1207m at Century Mile last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at Century Mile the run before. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. ACQUIRE (7) drifted well back last start then wound up strongly to finish fourth, beaten 7 lengths, over 1408m at this track. Was outdashed but got going late and the extra ground looks a big plus. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
