Won't get too many better chances to break through. PRETRIAL STATEMENT (5) made progress last time out, finishing 5.5 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 1710m at this track after being prominent at the turn. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. SPEIGHTFUL STORM (1) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 9 lengths when fourth in a 1308m contest at this track four weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. ALZERO (2) is back at the races for the first time since August 23. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a spell last time in work over 1207m at this track. Now under the care of new trainer Kevin Bond. Among the better hopes.
