LEVERO (4) won a 1400m Istanbul turf handicap by a neck before finishing third over 1300m on heavy ground. Her earlier Ankara placings favour a bold showing although stall eleven and six weeks off are obstacles. STEEL ROCK (3) followed a 1.5L victory attempting 2100m with a 4.5L second tackling 1900m. The inside draw helps but this sharp distance drop is unfamiliar. SILLAGE (5) won a local 1200m handicap and has placed contesting today's course and distance. She was fifth last time but remains competitive. SYRENA (7) was fourth on her latest outing following a difficult spell. An earlier 1400m second provides hope if she returns to that level.
