FIRST SIGHT (1) was having his first run for the Bhupat Seemar stable last start when he finished on strongly for third over 1600m at Meydan. He resumes at a far easier level, and is the one to beat for us. LOCAL HERO (3) last appeared when he finished well back over 1400m at Meydan on February 13. Now under the care of new trainer Doug Watson, and with more time to acclimatize to racing in this area, he can be a sharp improver. ELJENOB (5) closed last prep with a modest effort over 1900m at Meydan on January 9. Worth noting that he opened the last campaign with a minor placing at Jebel Ali over 1400m. He can make full use of the pole position, and even though he has found it hard to win another race, he can be very competitive fresh up in this. WESTERN WRITER (2) resumes from a spell of nine months and is having his first outing under new trainer Maciej Kacprzyk. He has won twice fresh up in the past, and should be included in all top 4 combos.
