He won't lack fitness, and still retains enough dash on the flat to win a race like this. QUID (6) is a very consistent and lightly tried gelding peaking third up from a spell. His last run was 5 weeks ago, but he races best with his runs well spaced out, so stick with him on an each-way basis. PICK OF THE LITTER (7) improved sharply from a fresh up fourth to an easy win at Te Aroha just over 2 weeks ago, where she stormed home out wide to score easily. She can repeat. SWINGIT OUR WAY (8) needed his resuming run over a trip that was well short of his best at Trentham 9 days ago. The extra 700m is the key here, and she is worth including in all combos. PRINCESS ELLY (13) is far better than her form suggests, and she is not the worst at odds.
