NED KELLY was well backed to win his Australian debut at Bairnsdale. He was very one paced over the 1600m but did think his work through the line was okay for a 2000m race. His last run in NZ is very good form for a race like this. He was narrowly beaten by Dux who at her next start finished a close 5th behind Ohope Wins in the NZ Oaks. PARAMOUNT WAR is a strong danger. He's returned well and is suited out in trip. With Tom Ryan he will get a very good run on speed. LORD TIMO looks suited to 2000m 2nd go after an even debut at Mt Gambier. He jumped out similarly. ALLTOGETHERNOW gets winkers after a terrible run last time. A 3rd prior to a VRC Derby hopeful must give him a chance. RANG A ROUND UP gets blinkers after a flat 2nd up run. ROLLIN"ONTHERIVER next.
