BILLABONG ALVIN jumped to the front and was never in danger winning similar race at Wellington last start. Expect they will roll forward again on him and he can win. ALPINE ROSE chased home Billabong Alvin last start and although beaten on her merits she will be competitive again. APHELION was always going to find them a bit slick first-up and only got going late. Fitter and out to the mile looks ideal while ST ROY was bit one paced last start but he had been racing well prior and can bounce back.
