NAVY BUOY refused to shirk his task second up at Newcastle and he has scope to improve here at his third start since a stable change. CALEDONIAN finished unplaced third up at Grafton but he did indicate that he's now ready to attempt this distance rise and the addition of blinkers today does aid his cause. SHELLEY'S LOOKOUT wasn't disgraced second up at Taree and she's better placed here. BOLD SPLENDOUR had too much to do when she was resuming at Wyong. Her unplaced effort must be overlooked.
