THE BIG PICTURE (4) will be peaking third up from a spell, and he has found the right sort of field here. He has hardly been over-taxed with racing for a 7-year-old gelding, and if the track is wet, he will be hard to hold out. CANASTA (9) is a very promising South-Island-trained mare who already has form on this track. She won a recent Ashburton trial, and she will be ready to rumble fresh up. Check the markets. HICKORY JACK (7) is knocking on the door for his next win, and he put the writing on the wall at Tauherenikau when finishing runner-up there nearly a month ago. Hard to beat. HIVARI (1) has not won for some time, but he is not alone in that department in this field. His South Island form is good enough for him to figure in the top 4 here. Stick with him. CHESTER BOY (11) was just beaten by a head at Whanganui 12 days ago. He has a superior gate here and can go one better, especially on a wet track.
