State-based Tote pools across Australia have been combined into a single national Tote ('One Pool'), meaning there is now only one set of Tote dividends nationwide.
This industry-wide change may affect the prices available and how some Tote bets are settled. Tote (TO) now represents the combined national Tote ('One Pool'), while Tote+ (TO+) returns the better of the Tote dividend and Starting Price (SP).
Other rules:Only final field runners subject to deductions
Selections: 1-2-4-5
870m Maiden Plate. No's 2,5,6,8 looks to be where speed resides. The newcomer MEAN MAHAL has won both trials in prep for its debut. One on a soft 6, the other on good ground. If Pat Webster wants to kick things off in a swamp don't argue. Few better in these circumstances. OVER THE LIMIT is resuming new blood. Hard to have on most, but not all, of its wet track endeavours to date. DEMES GIRL is a 30 start maiden but she does best when damp under hoof. HELLAVALEGACY resuming new new blood, all starts to date on soft ground, results hit and miss. TROY BOY improved on a soft 5 last start, the first time on affected ground albeit nothing like this will be. Who knows, might 'eat' mud.
