BELLARISTA (4) has not been beaten far in a couple of tougher fields recently, and is drawn to receive the run of the race here. She has been placed both times on this track, which is an advantage, and she can bounce back into form here. FOXGLOVE (5) just battled when finishing fifth in a 6-horse field at Te Rapa nearly 3 weeks ago, and she will have a tongue tie on this time to help her breathing. She is worth another chance. Each way. PRECIPICE (3) was a good winner of his debut at Trentham just over 3 weeks ago. He has another tricky gate to overcome, but looks to have the scope to go on with the job. GENERAL MENARI (6) was put aside after winning by a neck on debut at Taupo. He has been kept ticking over with a recent solid trial, and there is no reason why he can't remain unbeaten after this run. BELLE NOIRE (10) won here by a short-head when fresh up from a spell, and then was a solid third at Rotorua 12 days ago. She is still on the up with her fitness, so stick with her.
