ADMIRAL VOS (11) was a well backed favourite last start when stayed handy & tried hard but was no match for Rising Wind. Scratched from Taupo last week when he drew wide. Take beating here. IN HARMONY (6) got well back midrace but found the line well when fresh up at Matamata. Can improve here. MANGO LANE (14) was hunted to the lead from an outside gate and gave a sight but succumbed late on debut at Matamata. Fitter but another horror draw to overcome. PURPLE STRIKE (12) has won 2 of his 3 trials, the latest at Foxton when stayed handy from the inside gate & held out Blueprint by a head. Respect the noted first-up stable. UMIZOOMI (5) first two runs last season weren't bad, just weakening late. Showed improvement when sitting 3 wide in nice trial win last month.
