ALMONZO resumes after a 20-week break and had plenty of market support in his two runs prior to spelling. He will have matured since then and has been tuned up for this with two quiet trials, so a prominent showing first up is expected. CANADIAN FLING can only benefit from her debut run, with the sharp rise to 1400m looking suitable, and natural improvement between runs likely to see her right in the finish. ZECCHINI did her best work late last start at Muswellbrook, which suggests the rise to 1400m will be no concern. Strips fitter and can continue to improve. SAVANNA GOLDEN BOY showed plenty of improvement last start, and if he can maintain that upward trend, he can be in the finish again here.
