Fine weather awaits Scone racegoers for this 2026 carnival and we will race on a Good track. Runners in abundance - more than 320 nominations for Saturday alone, with 228 of them accepting on Wednesday morning. With field size capped at 16 + 4 emergencies we have had to let a few go but this is still obviously a dense and complex card, with competitors coming from left, right and centre. Always expect a few roughies to slip through; 16 of the 40 Saturday winners over the last four years have started double figures. The rail will be true on Friday but it looks as though we are out to 3 metres between the 1000 and 400m for Saturday. OAKFIELD SATURN finds favours on-speed in the first.
