EXPRESS GUARD has a wide draw to overcome and perhaps has to prove himself at 1600m but he's going well enough. ITSUKUSHIMA has been narrowly beaten his past three at 1600m. He gets gate 1 and probably the box seat. MAXXI BON had his head down at the right time in a 5way finish last time. He had excuses prior behind WACO KID. That horse is airborne. Blinkers and 1600m have worked for him. CANARA has won only one race and that was 1600m. She strips fitter. LAFONT won well 1st up. That was her first run on turf. Now for dry turf! MISLIGHT impressed at Geelong. She's raced just twice on a good track for her best results.
