HANAFUBUKI with C Williams makes strong appeal despite going to 2100 second up. Should be ok as has 2400m form. Gave leaders huge start when resuming over 1600m, but her last 200 was off the charts. GATES didn't run 2400 in good company last start and drops right down in grade. Form at 2000m was solid, and the four lengths behind aspiring stayer Zambardo over 1800m here at Hillside can't be ignored. WOLFESS was tried in late season 3yo filly staying races, but looks to have matured and was able to win over 1800m second run back. WINSTON in great form this preparation and has a lovely foundation of two distance runs into 2100 here. EXPETEE was clean out last start and ran at strong tempo to win over similar trip.
