WEE NESSY (11) tried hard when finishing fourth at Te Aroha 3 weeks ago over 1400m. The key this time will be the return to a mile, and with some luck from a wide gate, she can take this out. BEABOPALULA (10) had a nice trip in the trail at Arawa Park 12 days ago but failed to run on. Sometimes that track can upset some runners, so she is worth another chance. Each way claims in this even field. FRENCH THINKER (4) ran a much better race when finishing third at Arawa Park last time out. She is peaking at the right time and is a must for all top 4 combinations. SHUFFLE THE PACK (3) was ridden more positively last time out and ran her best race yet when finishing runner-up by less than a length. She can secure another cosy run from a good gate, and her first win is not far away. UNRESTRAINED (15) has run some good races in far better fields than what she meets here. Hard to beat, should she line up in this. GADABOUT (2) led up and faded to finish third last start. Stick with her.
