PUROSANGUE (1) improved quickly from a fair run on debut to finish runner-up at Matamata last time out. A wet track is no problem, and he is nicely poised to go one better this time. CAPOTE (3) probably lacked some strength in his initial prep, and he looked a lot stronger when winning a recent trial under his own steam. Hard to beat here, especially on a wet track. FACILITATE (2) showed some promise in the spring, and his recent spell would have done him the world of good. He was too the fore at the recent trials, and with the aid of the pole position, he is good enough to win a maiden at short notice. SNEAKY CYCLONE (4) has changed stables since his last start in December. He has been thereabouts in a couple of recent trials, and he can sneak into the finish here.
