Victorian visitors 4 and 2 can lead the way over the 2000m. AETHELWULF is the boring tip but to be fair he does leap off the page as lightest raced and has been winning by big margins this prep bar one run on Heavy ground. Very much looks like setting up perfectly in run as well so it's easy to see him making the progression to this sort of Saturday ground. Since the Canterbury win, he went to Warwick Farm on Aug 18 and absolutely jogged around in a 1200m trial. SHINY NEW DEEL looks ready to lead and perhaps offer more like his best. Only the one previous try at 200m but it was fine (4th at Flemington, this level).
