INSATIABLE (3) has not won for some time, but all of her 4 starts this season have been full of merit, including a brave effort for second at Trentham just over 7 weeks ago. Dropping back to 1100m off a freshen up will do her no harm, and with the advantage of the pole position, she can go one better. TEXAS DOLLY (4) is a very handy mare on her day, and after winning easily here in her penultimate start, she failed to handle a heavy track 11 days ago, finishing out the back in the Listed Timaru Stakes. Stick with her on a firmer surface in this. GEMMA FLITZ (2) was a star poly track performer here last prep when winning all of her 3 starts on that surface here. She resumes without a public trial, but she can't be taken lightly. MALMAISON (9) has yet to hit her straps this season, and her best effort was a narrow defeat in her penultimate start at Timaru. Bruno Queiroz sticks with her, and so do we. CANDLE (5) tried hard in Stakes company here 11 days ago. Stick with her. Each way.
