LEINSTER (2) was a touch flat at Omoto 3 days ago and only battled home for sixth. Tina Comignaghi picks up the ride here, and he will be a lot sharper. Stick with him on top here. CRUNCHIE BOY (1) ran on too late after getting back from a wide gate at Wingatui 12 days ago over a mile. He has a good record over this shorter trip, and from a better gate with the aid of a 3kg claim, he can bounce straight back into the money. KAISEDA (7) has been below her best since finishing second at Riccarton in November. She is not out of this, especially on a wet track. ELEGANT EXPLOSIVE (5) sat just off the pace but faded in the run home. She has less time between starts this time and is worth another chance. Each way value. PORTHOUSE LADY (6) did nothing off a wide gate at Omoto on Sunday, but with less weight to carry, and a better draw, she can figure in the top 4 this time.
