Now here's the distance race of the day. Look for 3 and 8 at the top end. ASTERIX draws widest but in this field I could see him crossing in for a 1-1 trail or something like it. No fluke about the last start win for mine but of course he's now up 2 kilos. He won a couple on Heavy in the early NZ days but has barely seen a wet track in the last couple of years. FUTURE HISTORY also very little recent history on rain-affected but will head forward and could control things to a certain extent. HOLLYWOOD HERO tried 2000m for the first time last start and now extends to 2400m. Racing consistently and happy on wet so may be in with a show.
