In the absence of a leader we're familiar with this probably falls to THRICE. He has trialed in good company and was more forward in the latest (both 1200m) and was essentially 2nd throughout behind a race fit all-the-way winner. Interesting to note only 1L separated he and SIR DINADAN in the Irish Derby last June and now here they are competing on the other sort of the world. The market has latched onto him in such a big way - I didn't see the price with my own eyes but I believe he opened $6.50 and was $2.70 on race morning. There was plenty to like about ZAPHOD's effort last start in a good level of country Cup. Added trip a bonus and he actually ran a narrow 2nd in the equivalent race last year (when fresh). At $6.50 he is a definite bet for me.
