9 fillies vs 3 males in our 2YO race. I have 6 and 4 leading 7 and 1 but newcomer AVENGERS (and $1M yearling) did improve in his latest trial and led throughout there so perhaps they adopt a similar plan for the debut. MISS CHANEL has come up outgunned in her two starts to date. Beaten by OUTSPAN on debut but the gate is very different today for OUTSPAN and I fancy CHANEL is better primed after her close defeat in the Widden a fortnight ago. CIARON'S STAR was unable to build her momentum on debut, at least not until switching out to clear running at the 300m. That was a race the leader won pretty easily.
