Off to Queanbeyan for a Thursday card. Conditions will be dry and hot, with 36 degrees expected. We open with a very modest Maiden indeed. SHEER TERRA is a 6YO mare whose debut here back in April is the performance any of these have offered. She couldn't follow it up at all and now has had the best part of 8 months off. A Dec 5 trial at Canberra was (2L 4th/7) was good enough to my eyes. FOCUS POINT trialed in the same heat, settled outside the leader and stuck on soundly to be beaten less than half a length. She started big odds in her two starts back in October but that trial ties her in as a chance here.
