On pace runners, 3, 4, 6, 7. ZOUS APOLLO presents first up and although he finished unplaced at all five starts in his first campaign, there were excuses on numerous occasions and this journey should suit first up. BON BATAN performed well above market place expectations second up at Inverell and a step back in distance can be coped with today, after a five week break. SCRAMBLING was also an acceptor for race one. He was spelled after his honest Coffs Harbour effort back in May when 805m wasn't suitable after he was slow to leave the gates. He can return improved today in whichever race he contests. ROSENBAUM endured too tough a run first up at Coffs Harbour and the addition of blinkers aids the cause today. THE MICHAEL resumes after trialing at the end of July. Neither unplaced effort at Tuncurry before his spell should be regarded as a concern today, his beaten margin from both races is misleading and at his only other outing to date, he was honest in defeat.
