Tough finish for the punters. GIVE SOME LIP ran on strongly when placed at Mornington two starts back then went to town and finished just out of placings. Barrier a concern but something each-way looks right choice. THE NEGOTIATOR resumes from spell. He has won fresh and from inside gate expect he will get all the favours and have last crack at leaders. MILITARY BASE did enough when not disgraced first-up. He will be better from that outing and can figure while JAMESJOHNO will be better out to the 1400m second-up and can sneak a first four spot.
