TOP OF THE RIDGE looked good winning at Naracoorte second-up. He was up in grade at Murray Bridge last time and ran on strongly to finish a close fourth. CHANCE TAKEN was seen doing his best work late in the race here last week when fifth behind Royal Fox. The step up to 1800m is ideal. MORTHAN EFFICIENT found the 1540m trip too short at Geelong first-up. Don't be surprised to see him improve over this journey. THERMODYNAMIC had some excuses here last week. He has drawn to get a kinder run today from barrier 2. LONGER ROUTE and MELLIFLUENT are not without claims.
