TAKA SPEED resumes at 1500m, but absolutely motored home late at end of 1400m on debut so 1500m should be suitable. Last run was in metro event where sat wide without cover and didn't settle so can be very forgiving. NORWOODS continued his great record with the 1500m here winning/placing seven of 8 starts. Goes well for Maskiell. WILLIAMSTOWN beat Norwoods here at the track and taking it to four course and distance wins over 1500m. THE NEGOTIATOR is likely to be late closer here from the wide draw but at least he has room to wind up.
