This is wide open. HAWK POWER ran well in a 70 on his home turf last time. Back to 61kg is his challenge. CHURCHILL LANE jumped out of the ground at Bairnsdale when he raced beyond 1728m for the first time. His race time compared more than favourably with the race that FAM GORMAN and JONQUIL placed in on the same day. I think all three of these horses are some of the strong chances. FAM GORMAN maps well. JONQUIL is flying (would love to know what happened Seymour 27/8). Down to 56kg will help and she shapes like 2400m will be ok. POWER PIVOT and STOLE HIM need wins but both are racing well.
